LOS ANGELES — “Reservoir Dogs” star Michael Madsen said the alleged fight with his juvenile son that saw him charged with felony child endangerment was a “big misunderstanding,” according to a new report.
Madsen, 54, spent Friday night behind bars after being arrested at his Malibu home. He was released from Lost Hills station on $100,000 bail early Saturday morning.
Police were notified of a family dispute at the property Friday afternoon. The son, whose age was not reported, was found injured but he did not require medical attention.
Madsen, who was arrested shortly before 4:00pm local time, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, TMZ reported. His mug shot showed him unshaven and with his hair disheveled.
The actor’s lawyer, Perry Wander, later claimed the argument sparked when Madsen found his son smoking cannabis and attempted to take it away. He described the dispute as a “family matter” and requested privacy.
